Travelling too fast for the conditions was a factor in 34% of fatal motorcycle crashes on New Zealand roads in 2014.

“Conditions” refers to weather, light conditions, road surfaces, traffic, and road hazards. “Too fast” doesn’t necessarily mean speeding—it just means faster than is safe for the conditions.
